ABOUT

Olivia Jensen is a passionate teenage artist from the desert of Arizona. She currently studies with artist JD Parrish at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Jensen predominantly works in charcoal, graphite, and oil paint.

 

The majority of her artwork thus far has been focused on still life and masterwork studies,  yet she has a love of Classical Realism and the works of the "Old Masters." She draws inspiration from artists such as John Waterhouse, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, and William Bougeureau. 

 

Her work has been featured in her elementary, junior high, and high school art shows. She took 1st place in the AFHE Art Contest with her charcoal piece AuthorsHer drawings have been featured in multiple CGCC art shows and have been purchased by the college for display on campus. She previously taught a graphite drawing class, and she plans to teach charcoal art this next year. 

 

Aside from her artwork, Jensen is a classically trained competitive pianist with a passion for political science, debate, choral performance, family history work, and classic literature.
